STEP BY STEP – THERAPY

  • 03 TRIAGE TO TEAM

    After collecting more information, we will suggest the best therapist for your needs

  • 04 INITIAL APPT

    The initial intake appointment is called a psychiatric interview and is 75 minutes (CPT code 90791). We ask if we can be provided with the most recent and relevant evaluations, if any.

  • 05 BEGIN THERAPY

    As part of your team, we will establish goals on the outset of therapy and continue to measure our progress towards those goals every session. Therapy sessions are usually 45 minutes (CPT 90834) a week but can be longer if needed (CPT 90837).

STEP BY STEP – EVALUATIONS

  • 01 ONLINE CONTACT

  • 02 PHONE CALL

    A team member will call to schedule your first two appointments. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required upon scheduling.

  • 03 CLINICAL INTERVIEW

    for 75 minutes on first day. Paperwork sent to you via the client portal prior to this session should be completed prior to your appointment. (CPT code 90791; number of units: 1)

  • 04 TESTING DAY

    Testing day will take from 3 to 6 hours depending on the age of client and the purpose of the evaluation. (CPT code 96101; number of units: 4-12)

  • 05 FEEDBACK SESSION

    Feedback session to review report with diagnostic impressions or diagnosis, treatment plan and other referrals and recommendations. CPT code 90834; number of units: 1)

STEP BY STEP – SOCIAL SKILLS GROUPS

  • 01 ONLINE CONTACT

    Please click on the above circle to complete the online initial contact form to express interest in our social skills groups.

  • 02 PHONE

    A team member will call you back within 2 business days and get you scheduled for a mandatory group intake. If the client has been seen at SPECTRA before, this is waived.

  • 03 GROUP INTAKE

    A 30 to 45-minute group intake session will help to determine if our groups are a good match for you / your child and vice versa. Your name will be added to our group database. Most groups run 3 times a year.

  • 04 GROUPS BEGIN

    Most groups run 3 times a year and are 12 weeks in length. All groups meet once a week, except for weeks of major holidays, and depending on age each group lasts 45 - 75 minutes. (CPT code 90853). We suggest not starting a group that you / your child may miss more than 2 sessions.

  • 05 GROUP ENDS

    Throughout the group sessions, direct feedback will be provided. A group party concludes most groups. Repeating groups or advancing to the next group are the next options.

What to bring to the 1st appointment

  • Forms

    • Please have all forms completed in the client portal as much as possible
    • Evaluation services cannot continue until all forms are complete

  • Records

    • Copies or originals (that we can copy) of any prior mental health evaluations/services, relevant educational records, or other relevant medical records that you have not already provided to us.

  • Payment

    • All payment is due at the time of service
    • For evaluations, a $300 deposit is required to schedule the day of testing

  • Questions

    • Please bring a list of questions that you have

Other required documents if applicable:

Most updated digital copy of Divorce Decree if the biological parents of the child are legally divorced.
Guardianship paperwork or Temporary Orders of Custody if the person seeking the evaluation and/or completing the paperwork is not the biological parent of the child.
