Social Skills Groups

Spectra Therapies offers Social Skills group therapy for a variety of ages. Groups start three times a year: spring, summer, and fall. Some groups are offered virtually and in-person.

Our multidisciplinary team created our popular and integrative social skills groups for all ages.

Tailoring groups to include speech, language, school, behavioral, play, and psychological approaches, we continue to enhance the group experience and outcomes for each individual.

After reviewing the information about our Social Skills Groups, please contact us via the Social Skills Intake Form or call 972-985-1100 to be on our waiting list or to inquire about any group!

  • A 30 – 60 minute intake session to determine eligibility is required for new clients prior to enrollment.  The cost of the intake session is $75-125 dependent on length.
  • Groups run three times a year in Spring, Summer, and Fall.
  • There are generally 10-12 sessions of 60 to 75 minutes depending on age.
  • Sessions are run by a licensed professional who is assisted by a student.
  • The sessions take place in-clinic though some groups have an out-and-about component.
  • Our groups are talk based and require a certain level of expressive and receptive language.
  • The cost is $75 per session.
  • ​We offer age appropriate groups (ages 4-80) for individuals with social deficits, siblings, parents, and other family members. Other individuals with socially-related difficulties are also invited to participate (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, depression).
  • Group therapies can be very rewarding and provide a forum for individuals to interact with peers who have various strengths and areas for growth.
  • Our Social Skills groups focus on social thinking education, skilled activities and support with aims to increase the participant’s social insight and skills, self-esteem, and quality of life.
