Masters student counselor
Kelsie Harshaw, BS, Counseling Student
Supervised by Nichole Lecznar, MS, LPC-S
Kelsie is a graduate student intern from Southern Methodist University, where she is completing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her primary areas of focus include working with children, adolescents, and their families, with a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals. Her early clinical experience in structured behavioral settings gave her a strong foundation, and led her to pursue graduate-level counseling training in order to provide more individualized, relationship-centered care that honors each client's unique strengths and experiences.
Kelsie incorporates creativity and play into her clinical work, drawing on expressive and developmentally appropriate approaches to help children process emotions, build confidence, and develop meaningful skills. She takes a collaborative approach to therapy, working closely with parents and caregivers as active partners in supporting their child's growth. Kelsie is committed to meeting each person where they are and is dedicated to helping each individual and family she works with grow.
