I am currently a practicum student working towards my Masters in Counseling at SMU. I received my Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University in Special Education. I am a certified teacher and was a Special Education teacher in Texas for four years. I have also been a Special Olympics coach since 2014. My coursework and training have prepared me to work with individuals, families, and groups with specializations in Play Therapy and Adolescent Counseling. I have been an advocate for counseling services for children and adults with special needs as well as their families and caretakers.
Working collaboratively to build a safe and trusting relationship with individuals of all ages who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, ADHD, social disorders, bullying and self-esteem issues is where my passion lies. I enjoy working with clients to help them grow as well as build on their strengths. Together we will strive to create a more confident and successful individual.
