Doctoral Student
Emily L. Armstrong, MS - Doctoral Student Counselor

Emily L. Armstrong is a doctoral-level student counselor currently pursuing her Ph.D. in School Psychology at Texas Woman’s University. She earned her Master’s degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas. Emily’s clinical training focuses on supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those navigating anxiety, depression, social challenges, and behavioral concerns.
Emily’s counseling approach combines humanistic principles with a social-cognitive framework, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and each individual’s unique perspective while maintaining the belief that growth and resilience are possible for every client. She is committed to creating a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools for success.
Emily is passionate about working alongside families, educators, and communities to promote meaningful, lasting change in the lives of the individuals she serves.
